Management is unprofessional, goes to show that this housing organization is run by youths instead of accredited adults. There was a whole month where residents did not have power or water, which led to a whole semester of no/broken laundry machines. After sending a email to verve as a complaint of the lack of a promised working washer/dryer, my roommate received back a very passive aggressive, threatening email from Verve’s management. Since that point onwards, Verve’s image in my mind has been tainted. They don’t really care about their residents, as long as they got rents in their pockets by the end of each month. Moving out is the scary part, verve will drown you in extra charges with even the smallest scratch/wear&tear on the walls and don’t even get me started on the up charged utilities bills each month. You may think all the amenities are a plus, like Verve’s “security” system, which is essentially hiring a random individual to wear a badge, go on their phone for majority for their shift, and check for key fobs even from residents that have lived with verve for over 2 years. Which is crazy because delivery men and drunks have slipped past those “security” guards, yet they still cannot remember residents faces. Despite the challenges we faced at verve, I can still say that the quality of each apartment space is quite high, well, if we were comparing it to the worn down houses of NB:) rooms are small, but furniture seems new and nice.
